Manage your agents’ skills

See the skills of Pi, OMP, Codex and Claude Code, global or per project, locally, in WSL or over SSH, then update or remove them.

Open the Skills view

Open Settings, the gear at the bottom of the activity bar, then the Skills section. Soreno lists the skills installed for your agents there, globally and in each project, locally, in WSL or on SSH servers.

The view doesn’t install skills: install them as usual, then click Refresh to look again. Filter skills, next to it, keeps only the ones that match what you type.

Global and project skills

Global skills holds the ones in your home folder: This computer first, then each WSL or SSH environment one of your projects uses. Projects holds each project’s skills, grouped by environment. A worktree shares its repository’s skills: only the repository’s project is listed.

Soreno looks in the agents’ skill folders:

  • global: ~/.agents/skills, ~/.claude/skills, ~/.codex/skills, ~/.pi/agent/skills and ~/.omp/agent/skills;
  • per project: .agents/skills, .claude/skills, .pi/skills and .omp/skills.

Hide projects without skills is checked by default; uncheck it to see all your projects. A disconnected SSH project can’t be read: “Disconnected project: reconnect it to see its skills.” The same goes for a server’s global skills until one of its projects is connected.

Read a skill’s entry

Click a computer or a project to expand its skills. Each skill shows its title, its description and the folders it sits in; a link icon marks a symbolic link to a shared copy.

Its source comes next. For a skill from a GitHub repository, click it to open its skills.sh page; otherwise, Soreno shows Local.

Update a skill

Only skills installed from skills.sh can be updated. Soreno checks whether they changed and marks new versions with an Update available badge; the card’s header counts them: “To update: 2”.

Click a skill’s refresh icon to update it, or Update all when several skills in the same card can be updated. Hover a skill’s icon to see why it can’t be:

  • Not updatable: missing from the skills lock file;
  • Not updatable: local source;
  • Not updatable: provided by an npm package.

Soreno goes through the skills CLI with npx: Node.js must be installed where the skills live, on your machine, in WSL or on the server.

Remove a skill

A skill’s trash icon removes it, after you confirm: it is removed from the computer or the project, for every agent.

The trash icon only appears for skills stored in folders the skills CLI manages: .agents/skills and .claude/skills, plus .codex/skills for global skills. A skill in a Pi or OMP folder has to be deleted by hand.
